Watch Lady Gaga's SNL Monologue and Sketches from March 8, 2025

The "Abracadabra" singer's double duty ep brought a slew of surreal sketches, and a musical collab with Gaga superfan Bowen Yang.

By Samantha Vincenty

"I know you might be thinking I'm here to my promote my album Mayhem, but I'm actually here to remind you that I'm an amazing actor," Lady Gaga told the audience during her March 8 Saturday Night Live monologue. She did both, actually: In addition to starring in hilariously surreal sketches like the pretaped short "Pip," the pop star crushed performances of "Abracadabra" and "Killah," the latter of which made creative use of the Studio 8H hallways.

How to Watch

Watch Saturday Night Live Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and Peacock, streaming next day on Peacock.

Following Mike Myers' return as Elon Musk in the cold open, Gaga skipped the singing in favor of a straightforward monologue that poked fun at her 2024 Joker 2 movie.

"Apparently people thought it was awesome, and Joaquin and I even got nominated for a Razzie — which is an award for the worst films of the year," she said. "So we won for Worst on Screen duo. But joke's on them: I love winning things, and my Razzie brings me one step closer to an EGORT. It's like an EGOT, but it's hurtful."

Gaga also joked about meeting her fiance, Michael Polansky, through her mother, and revealed that "superfan" Bowen Yang would introduce her performance, 'but I think I make him nervous."

"Bowen, are you happy I'm here?" she asked him.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Lady Gaga!" Yang exclaimed. But the Season 50 cast member was cool as a cucumber during the two's "Wonderful Tonight" sketch, in which they sang an odd new version of the Eric Clapton classic.

"Trump, Musk and Rubio Meeting Cold Open" featuring Mike Myers

Trump, Musk and Rubio Meeting Cold Open

Former cast member Mike Myers returned to play billionaire and Trump administration advisor Elon Musk, in an imaginative reenactment of the real March 6 White House meeting about Musks's increasing influence on American government and his alleged clash with Secretary of State Marco Rubio (played by Marcello Hernández).

SNL made the very first multi-set romcom to be centered around Airwheel riding suitcases in this sketch starring Gaga and Hernández (who, for some reason, held an adorable pug throughout).

"I want my style to match how I am on the inside — spunky and a little bit funky. I want people to see me and think she's got it going on! I'm no spring chicken, but this hen still knows how to cluck. That's why we wear little red glasses."
