Watch Jon Hamm's SNL Monologue & Sketches from April 12, 2025

The Landman actor's fourth turn hosting also brought several fun cameos, including Kieran Culkin and Scarlett Johansson.

Actor Jon Hamm might be more comfortable than most stars when it comes to taking the Saturday Night Live stage — look no further than his 14 cameos, which he relived during his April 12 monologue.

How to Watch

Watch Saturday Night Live Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and Peacock, streaming next day on Peacock.

"And, you know, in many ways, making a cameo is even more special than being the host — which is something Lorne's told me many times," Hamm joked. "Always right before he loses service going into the tunnel. He's always in that tunnel!"

And celebrity cameos were a major theme of the fourth episode from Hamm, who's a clear friend to the show. The White Potus pretaped sketch saw the brief return of Scarlett Johansson as Ivanka Trump, as well as former cast members Alex Moffat and Beck Bennett as Eric Trump and Vladimir Putin and Musical Guest Lizzo.

Why was Kieran Culkin on SNL?

Currently starring in Glengarry Glen Ross on Broadway with Season 50 Host Bill Burr, Kieran Culkin seems to be making regular visits to SNL after the his curtain closes: Culkin and Burr were spotted in the audience during Jack Black's monologue on April 5 (watch it here).

During his latest stop by, the 2025 Academy Award winner joined Hamm as the Mad Men star was explaining how a cameo can happen "when a monologue is feeling aimless and, like, it needs a jolt of energy." Hamm quickly demanded Culkin's Oscar before muttering that "Mad Men was better than Succession" before scooting Culkin offstage.

Check out all of Hamm's hilarious sketches, including a Please Don't Destroy video and a new Trump Easter cold open, below.

Trump Easter 2025 Cold Open

It's officially an Easter tradition, as James Austin Johnson's Donald Trump made holiday-themed remarks to the audience as the cast was frozen behind him yet again (and Johnson delighted in trying to get a reaction as they stayed stuck in their pose, like poor open-mouthed Sarah Sherman).

Move over, The Black Lotus — SNL's got a new parody of Mike White's hit show, this time a cameo-studded, White-House-themed spin on Season 3.

During Jon Hamm's third episode in 2010, he played an unwilling viral video star in "I Didn't Ask for This," and his self-owning character in this gameshow sketch feels like a callback.
