Warm or chilly, rain or shine, Universal Studios Hollywood is already dressed in its holiday finery and welcoming everyone to celebrate the season at the theme park and Universal's CityWalk entertainment complex. If you're near California, or plan to be in SoCal before the end of this year, you can visit the CityWalk complex without a ticket. There will be lots to do from November through the end of December, with free performances and all the retailers and restaurants will be open to help finish your holiday gift list.

It always feels like the holidays when you see the CityWalk 40-foot Christmas tree, featuring over 200,000 LED lights, which can be found in front of Universal Cinema starting in November. It's a great place for family photos or to gather for some of the live entertainment on the adjacent stage throughout the season. In fact, we've got a handy list of some of the CityWalk events you'll want to add to your calendar in 2023.

Carolers, Street Performers and and DJ Night Fridays

Located next to the official Christmas tree is the CityWalk stage, which will host a range of live entertainment for the season. Starting November 24, there will be live DJ Nights every Friday and Saturday all the way through December 16. Get your group dance on with the rest of the visitors at CityWalk.

There will also be curated street performers gracing the walkways of Citywalk starting November 1 and going through December 22. Keep your eyes and ears out for a rotating selection of talented performers on Thursdays through Sundays on those dates. And, if you don't live in a neighborhood that has carolers, don't fret because CityWalk will feature its own wandering singers from December 19 to December 21.
