This story contains spoilers for The Traitors through Season 3, Episode 10.

Almost three full seasons into Peacock's Emmy Award-winning competition series, and we've all come to expect brutal gameplay and backstabbing machinations from the celebrity competitors battling for the prize of up to $250,000.

However, Season 3 has — hands down — featured arguably the most dysfunctional Traitors ever: Bob the Drag Queen (RuPaul's Drag Race), "Boston Rob" Mariano (Survivor, Deal or No Deal Island), Danielle Reyes (Big Brother), and Carolyn Wiger (Survivor).

The overall discord means that we’re down to two Traitors, Danielle and her newly minted Traitor buddy, Britney Haynes. And in the penultimate episode of the season, they’ve created a split vote around the Round Table that's even more dramatic than the almost-draw earlier this season between Rob and Wes Bergmann.

Season 3 can now lay claim to the show’s very first official draw between Ivar Mountbatten and Danielle in Episode 10, "The Power of the Seer." What does that mean for the players in terms of a mandatory tie-breaker? NBC Insider has the explanation on what’s going to happen in the finale.

Episode 6 almost saw a draw between Boston Rob and Wes

Rob Mariano, Wes Bergmann, and Derrick Levasseur sit at the breakfast table on The Traitors Episode 303.

Yes, the season moves fast and it’s easy to forget, but we were almost here already in Episode 6!

Derrick Levasseur took point in orchestrating a voting block at the table against Rob, which Rob got wind of from Britney before they entered the Round Table. Always focused on countermeasures, Rob didn't sweat, and was able to take Derrick's meticulous evidence and Wes' hyper-aggressive game and turn the room's vibe against Wes.

The final vote had Rob and Wes with the same amount of votes until Ciara Miller's final vote sent Faithful Wes home.

The final Round Table in Episode 10 came down to six players, with Danielle riding on the loyalty of Britney, Dolores Catania, and Dylan Efron to get her into the finale. However, she gave herself away time and time again in words and deeds, which gave Gabby Windey the opportunity to lay out her strong case against Danielle. In the vote, the surprise was that Ivar still had equal votes to Danielle, due to Dolores, Britney, and Danielle’s voting block. Now, it’s a draw.

The Traitors U.S. series had never seen a tie at the Round Table until this moment, but the other versions of The Traitors around the world have faced that conundrum often. They solved the impasse by having a runoff between the players who earned the highest number of tied votes.

This is what we've seen with Danielle and Ivar this time around. The two on the chopping block were able to plead their case one more time, and then another vote is taken around the table…sans the tied players' votes. The second vote either gives us a winner or another draw. And if there's a draw, there’s a sudden death... determined by chance!

New episodes of The Traitors Season 3 premiere on Peacock on Thursdays at 9/8c, with the season finale and reunion premiering on March 6.
