NBC's mockumentary cheerleading sitcom Stumble co-stars Jenny Lyon and Taran Killam
Stumble will star Jenn Lyon, SNL alum Taran Killam, Ryan Pinkston, Jarrett Austin Brown, Anissa Borrego, Arianna Davis, Taylor Dunbar, and Georgie Murphy.
Kristin Chenoweth will also appear in a recurring role.
What is Stumble about?
As NBC put it in the network's July 22 announcement, Stumble is "a mockumentary about the ridiculously high stakes competitive world of junior college cheer."
Stumble is executive-produced by Cheer's Monica Aldama
Monica Aldama, coach of the top-ranked Navarro Junior College cheer squad, is an executive producer on the project, which is being written by Liz and Jeff Astrof.
The Navarro athletes were featured in the successful documentary series Cheer, which followed them from training to nationals. Dana Honor will also executive produce.

If you don't have time to check out the series that made the world obsessed with the Navarro squad, you can get the basic gist from Saturday Night Live's parody starring Adam Driver, with Heidi Gardner as an Aldama-ish coach.
Basically, the squad will do anything to make mat, including injuring themselves. They eat, sleep and breathe cheerleading, and are all-in on going to Daytona, where the national competition is held each year.
In search of a NBC comedy to hold you over until Stumble debuts?
St. Denis Medical is NBC's newest comedy hit that proves laughter is the best medicine. Co-created by executive producer Justin Spitzer, who brought us Superstore, and Eric Ledgin, you can expect a lot of silliness coupled with emotional life-or-death moments.
The show follows the daily interactions of the doctors, nurses, and patients at a busy, understaffed fictional hospital in an Oregon town. At the head of the workplace hierarchy is Joyce, an ambitious hospital administrator played by Wendi McClendon-Covey who is not above doing cartwheels to boost staff morale and has big plans for the hospital. Main cast members include David Alan Grier, playing a jaded emergency room doctor and divorcee, and Allison Tolman, a diligent, no-nonsense nursing supervisor.
They’re joined by an impressive group of comedy veterans who promise to turn the serious genre of medical dramas on its ear. Josh Lawson plays a cocky trauma surgeon, while Mekki Leeper is an earnest and freshly minted E.R. nurse. Kahyun Kim and Kaliko Kauahi round out the star-studded cast.
