Season 5 of Law & Order: Organized Crime is gearing up to be a high-octane thrill, especially as Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) crosses paths with his former partner, Law & Order: SVU's beloved Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay). But with the former partners reuniting in the hospital of all places, fans are stressed for Stabler's well-being.
Viewers have been perched to see the former partners collide for a minute. With the exception of a rare phone call, Benson and Stabler haven't connected since the Season 3 finale of Organized Crime in 2023. It's been years since the former partners have been face-to-face, but it appears their latest reunion is under harrowing circumstances.
In a teaser for the Season 5 premiere of Law & Order: OC, Sgt. Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt) gives Stabler an undercover assignment, leading to an adrenaline-fueled investigation that lands him at death's doorstep.
Benson is worried for a hospitalized Stabler in the OC Season 5 premiere
In clips from the Season 5 premiere, Stabler is seen fighting tooth and nail to find his perp, dodging bullets and running into the action every step of the way. But Stabler's fearless crusade comes to a grim end after he gets T-boned in a car accident. The ambulance rushes a bloodied Stabler to the hospital, and he begins losing consciousness on the gurney. Stabler is in rough shape as Bell and the medics check him out.
Just as the light faded, Benson's voice broke through the darkness. "Elliot," she called, appearing at his hospital bedside. As Benson stared down in horror at the sight of the badly battered Stabler, she looked sick with concern as he failed to respond.
Stabler has braced his fair share of injuries on the job but has never faced something like this. Benson always flocks to his side in times of need, but she seems horrified at her latest meeting with Stabler. Will Bensler fans get the chance to see them connect, or could this tragedy tear Benson and Stabler apart? Only time will tell, but we can't wait to check in on the powerhouse pair.
