The Happy's Place stars are an uncannily great mom-daughter casting.

Emma Kenney's guest starring role as Gracie — the daughter of Reba McEntire's beloved character Bobbie in NBC's Happy's Place — has garnered attention not only thanks to her compelling performance, but also for the striking resemblance between the two actresses.

How to Watch

While in real life McEntire is the proud mother of one son, race car driver Shelby Blackstock, when the cameras start rolling, it's Kenney who gets the honor of calling her co-star McEntire mom. It's not a hard sell; the physical similarities between Kenney and McEntire have not gone unnoticed by fans.

Is Kenney some long-lost McEntire cousin, perhaps? While the actresses are not technically related, you could have fooled us.

Kenney and McEntire's crimson-red hair and expressive faces set the tone for a seriously convincing family casting. Their resemblance certainly adds depth to their performances on Happy's Place, where they continue to connect as mother and daughter when Gracie visits home.

With Gracie's arrival on Happy's Place, which has been renewed for Season 2, viewers can't help but obsess over her likeness to McEntire as Bobbie and Gracie navigate a new chapter as a family.

Kenney is a television powerhouse, appearing in 10 seasons of the hit dramedy Shameless before joining the sitcom scene with her starring role on The Conners. Nowadays, she is stealing the show as Gracie on Happy's Place, where she's brought a delightful blend of humor and drama to the new NBC sitcom.

Viewers first met Gracie in Episode 10 ("The MacAllister Girls") after she returned home from her military deployment in Qatar, leading to several heartfelt moments between her and her mother, Bobbie.

"Stepping onto the Happy's Place set at Universal was so welcoming. Everybody was so kind and wanted to make sure I was comfortable and felt I had everything I needed, and I was really lucky for that," Kenney told TV Insider while chatting about her guest appearance. "I'm not used to going to a set as the newbie coming onto an already established cast. So I was a little nervous going into it, but as soon as I met everyone, my nerves were really made at ease."
