TODAY with Jenna & Friends welcomes a new host this week: actress Olivia Munn!
After last week's entertaining — and oftentimes hilarious — stint of family members joining Jenna Bush Hager at the co-host desk, viewers are looking forward to some undeniable chemistry between the two women the week of March 31 during the fourth hour of TODAY.
So ahead of Munn's co-hosting duties, we think it's the perfect time to dive into her relationship with comedian — and Saturday Night Live alum — John Mulaney and their beautiful family of four.
Are Olivia Munn and John Mulaney married?
Yes, the two stars are married! Munna and Mulaney tied the knot in a small, intimate ceremony over Fourth of July weekend in 2024.
The two first met while attending Seth Meyers' wedding in 2013. Believe it or not, Munn couldn't help but revert into fangirl mode when she spotted the star and his then-wife, Anna Marie, at the reception.
"We were at a wedding together and I was like, 'Oh my gosh, do you and your fiancé want to go have dinner or something and go hang out?'" Munn told HuffPost Live in 2022. "At first, it was cool, and then I kept going up to him at the wedding like, 'So you having fun?' I was just so obsessed with hanging out with and talking with him."
While the connection was just platonic then, it wouldn't be long before the pair reconnected. In June 2021, the couple was first spotted out in public enjoying each other's company in Los Angeles, and the rest is history.
Do Olivia Munn and John Mulaney have kids?
During a memorable September 2021 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Mulaney confirmed that not only was he healthy and sober, but he and Munn were expecting their first child together.
On November 24, 2021, Mulaney and Munn welcomed Malcolm Hiệp Mulaney into the world!
Just three months later, Mulaney spoke about the birth of their son during his SNL monologue and put everything in perspective:
"Life is a lot better and happier now," Mulaney explained. "I have a 12-week-old son. He is a pretty cool guy for someone who can't vote. His legs are like little calzones, and I want to eat him."
"I packed a lot into this… is it September now?" Mulaney told Seth Meyers. "I went to rehab in September, I got out in October, I moved out of my home from my ex-wife… Then in the spring I went to Los Angeles and met and started to date a wonderful woman named Olivia. I got into this relationship that's been really beautiful with someone incredible. And we're having a baby together."
But the couple didn't stop at one child! On September 14, 2024, the pair welcomed their only daughter, Méi June Mulaney, via surrogate. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Munn described the experience.
"I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter," she revealed. "When I first met our gestational surrogate we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much grace and understanding, I knew I had found a real-life angel. Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for 9 months and made our dreams come true."
In 2025, the couple are happy and clearly so in love with their kids — take Munn's March 14 Instagram post as an example. She can't stop kissing adorable little Méi in one of the cutest videos ever:
"6 months with the sweetest plum 🥰," she wrote.
