Miley Cyrus is releasing a new single!

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

On February 27, the former The Voice Coach (Season 11 and 13) shared a teaser of her upcoming collaboration with Pharrell Williams (who was also a Coach for Seasons 7 through 10) on a song titled ''Doctor (Work It Out)," which will be released on March 1.

In the video, Cyrus is wearing a black and silver bedazzled mini with a strategically uneven hemline. But the best part? Her hairstyle was super dramatic and even more voluminous than the similar look she rocked at the 2024 Grammys.

Cyrus shared the cover art for the single, which is her first release since her Grammy appearance, on February 26. This time, she rocked the same big hair and wore a feathery blue jacket. Check out the photo here

The background behind ''Doctor (Work it Out)''

Cyrus and Williams have been working on ''Doctor (Work it Out)'' for over a decade, as it was originally supposed to be a song included on her 2013 album Bangerz. It originally didn't make the cut, but the two decided to revisit it.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Cyrus explained why she thinks the timing for ''Doctor (Work it Out)'' is perfect now. “We just believe so much in timing and in everything happening when it’s supposed to. And around the Grammys, Pharrell and I were talking about putting the song out, and it just felt like it was so serendipitous, and there were so many alignments and so many moments that made me know that now was the perfect time. And then sometimes things in our past make more sense in our present than they ever did then. And so this song, I think the nature, the celebration, the feeling, especially with the video, the joy, the dancing, the letting go, it's what this song really always needed,” she said, per Pitchfork.

The music video to ''Doctor (Work It Out)''

The official music video to ''Doctor (Work It Out)'' premiered on March 1, and featured Cyrus rocking her big hair and sparkly outfit, totally feeling herself while showing off her sassy dance moves. Check it out here.

''Doctor (Work It Out) by Miley Cyrus and Pharrell Williams lyrics

I could be your doctor
And I could be your nurse
I think I see the problem
It's only gon' get worse
A midnight medication
Just show me where it hurts
I need to rock you, baby
Before your body bursts

Let me work it out (Oh)
Let me work it out, oh yeah
Let lil' mama work you out (Huh, ah)
You wanna work it out? (Wanna work it out? Oh yeah, ow)

You're my lover (You're my lover)
I show you sympathy
Take your sugar (Take your sugar)
And pour it into me
Let's let bygones be bygones and throw it all away
You're my lover
I wanna hear you say

(I feel like working it out) yeah
If that's something you wanna do (Uh, uh)
(Yeah, I feel like working it out)
Baby, if you want me to

I could be your doctor
And I could be your nurse
I think I see the problem
It's only gon' get worse (Uh, uh)
A midnight medication
Just show me where it hurts (Uh)
I need to rock you, baby
Before your body bursts

Let me work it out (Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me)
Let me work it out, oh yeah (Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me)
Let lil' mama work you out (Let me, let me, ha, let me, let me, let me)
You wanna work it out? Oh yeah (Wanna work it out, yeah, babe)

Are you on the fence?
Stop playing on the side
Are you on the fence?
Don't waste my damn time (Don't waste my damn time)
Are you on the fence?
I'll slip but I won't slide
Don't gotta be forever
Just together for the night

(I feel like working it out)
If that's something you wanna do
(Yeah, I feel like working it out)
Baby, if you want me to

I could be your doctor (I could be your doctor)
And I could be your nurse
I think I see the problem
It's only gon' get worse (Uh, uh)
A midnight medication
Just show me where it hurts (Uh)
I need to rock you, baby
Before your body bursts

Let me work it out (Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me)
Let me work it out, oh yeah (Let me work it out, yeah; Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me)
Let lil' mama work you out (Let me, let me, ha, let me, let me, let me)
You wanna work it out? Oh yeah (Wanna work it out, yeah, babe)

Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me
Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me
Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me
You wanna work it out? (Wanna work it out, yeah)

Miley Cyrus' hair at the 2024 Grammys

Cyrus pulled off a whopping five outfit changes at the 2024 Grammys, including a gold mesh dress, a sparkly black halter-neck jumpsuit by Tom Ford, a silver dress with long tassels, a lace body suit accompanied with a lavish feather boa, and a dark brown asymmetrical number. But the one element that stayed consistent throughout the night was her bold, '70s style hairdo.

In an interview with People, Cyrus' hairstylist Bob Recine talked about what inspired him to style her hair in such a fearless way.

“I’ve been working with Miley for a long time and tonight we wanted to create different than last year, with a style that felt like it had a '70s, Barbarella feel while still having a modern, punk edge. By creating a big hair look, while still leaving some of the teasing visible, it allows the look to maintain a fresh, sexy feeling,'' he told the outlet.

Miley Cyrus' Grammys Looks

Cyrus became a first time Grammy winner that night, taking home two awards for her hit single ''Flowers.'' She first won Best Pop Solo Performance, and accepted her award from Mariah Carey. When she won Record of the Year, she gave a speech how grateful she was to have her life before the victories.

''Not everyone in the world will get a Grammy, but everyone in this world a spectacular,'' she insightfully said.

In between her wins, she gave an energetic performance of ''Flowers,'' while John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Oprah, and more all grooved along in the crowd.

''I JUST WON MY FIRST GRAMMY!'' she cheered in the middle of verses, before exiting the stage with a badass mic drop.
