Michael Bublé Had These Voice Fans Say the Silliest Thing to His Wife
Oh, that Michael Bublé! A jokester!
Even when he's at work, Michael Bublé always has his wife, Luisana Lopilato on his mind. During the first round of Knockouts on The Voice Season 27, he even enlisted the crowd to make a goofy video just to brighten her day.
Michael Bublé and the Voice audience made a silly video for his wife, Luisana Lopilato
Inspired by fellow Coach Kelsea Ballerini, who had the crowd sing "Happy Birthday" in a video for her boyfriend Chase Stokes, Bublé decided to make one for his wife. She was "at home with the kids," he told the crowd, and instructed them to say, "Michael Bublé is incredibly good-looking" for a video. Well, it's definitely better than the string of disses Adam Levine kept texting Blake Shelton earlier in the season!
Lopilato may also have been on Bublé's mind as Barry Jean Fontenot, an Artist on his team, chose "Just Haven't Met You Yet" for the Knockouts. Bublé himself wrote that song for his wife and predicted, correctly, that it would be a hit. But when he translated it into Spanish, Lopilato's native language, and wrote it down for her, Bublé revealed, she simply shrugged and said it was OK. Maybe casting her in the music video was the magic touch the tune needed?

Bublé proposed to his wife in Spanish
When the pair first met, neither spoke a word of each other's language. As he shared with Cosmopolitan, by November 2009, Bublé knew enough Spanish to ask his girlfriend's father for his blessing to propose. “I was so nervous before I asked my wife to marry me. It was the scariest decision of my life,” he told the magazine. “I did it in front of her family, who are Argentinian, and I'd learnt Spanish specially. That was the scariest part — being in front of them and asking her father's permission beforehand.”

Lopilato recalled in a 2012 interview with The Mail on Sunday that she was surprised when Bublé popped the question, in Spanish, at dinner with her whole family. “We thought he was joking and he said, still in Spanish, ‘No, really. I really want to marry you,’ and then he took out the ring and gave it to me,” she said. “I still thought he was joking. Then I noticed that my mother was crying, my sister was crying, even my father was crying, and I thought, ‘This is real because my father never cries.’ So I started to cry too."
