John Legend & Chrissy Teigen Committed Hard to Their Dramatic Couples Halloween Costume

When Legends meet Idols, you could say.

By Elizabeth Logan

The Voice Coach John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, channeled another (fictional) music power couple for their couples Halloween costume: Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) and Tedros (The Weeknd) from The Idol, which aired its first and only season earlier this year.

How to Watch

Watch the Season 26 premiere of The Voice on Monday, September 23 at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

"When Legends become Idols," the "All of Me" singer captioned the pictures, which show him in Tedros' iconic headband and Teigen in Jocelyn's signature lingerie. "Damn. Good caption," commented the Cravings author. Check out the pics here.

The Legend-Teigen household also dressed up with their kids in different outfits. Earlier this Halloween week, Teigen posted pictures from the "Skelebration" party she threw in which she's dressed as Pippi Longstocking. Miles went as Scooby-Doo, and babies Esti and Wren are Little Red Riding Hood and Waldo, respectively. See here!

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen expanded their family this year, welcoming a daughter, Esti, and son, Wren. After Esti was born, Legend told Fatherly that his two eldest kids, Miles and Luna, "are very excited to be big siblings. They love holding Esti. They love kissing her. They just love embracing this new little life in the house. We didn’t know how that was going to go. We didn’t know if they would be jealous or be sad. Miles might be sad that he wasn’t the baby anymore, but he’s totally embraced being Esti’s big brother, and it’s honestly made me very emotional and joyful seeing them together."

He continued, "When Miles was born, we were given all this advice about how to bring him home from the hospital to Luna. She was 2 years old when he was born. But we didn’t do any of that for Esti, I think because the kids are older now and they just kind of get it, and they’re more secure in who they are. They weren’t that worried about losing us to Esti. They know we have plenty of love to go around."
