Is The Americas New on NBC This Week? (April 27, 2025)
Get back to nature with Tom Hanks this weekend.
NBC’s epic nature documentary series The Americas has given us tons of quietly awe-inspiring moments throughout its 10-episode run. Smoothly narrated by Tom Hanks and produced by BAFTA-winning documentarian Mike Gunton (Dynasties, Life, Planet Earth II), the full series has shared unprecedented up-close looks at the incredibly diverse array of flora and fauna that stretches across two continents.
Dropping in at various stops throughout North, South, and Central America, the series officially concluded on April 13. But if you’ve so far missed out on exploring the Western Hemisphere’s natural wonders with Hanks as your able tour guide, no worries, there’re still more ways to catch select episodes of The Americas (and even to binge the whole thing)!

Is a new episode of The Americas on NBC this Sunday, April 27?
Airing on Sundays from February through April, The Americas already has finished its entire season of 10 jaw-dropping episodes. But this weekend, the series is taking over the Sunday prime time slot for a back-to-back encore. You can catch “The Caribbean” and “The West Coast” — Episodes 8 & 9 — beginning Sunday, April 27 at 7 p.m. on NBC, right before an all-new episode of Suits LA debuts at 9 p.m. ET.
“The Caribbean” comes along first at 7 p.m. ET, capturing insanely up-close footage of the region’s sea life and inland ecosystem including migrating red crabs, sperm whales on the hunt, capuchin monkeys, and more. “The West Coast” arrives immediately after at 8 p.m. ET, adventuring up and down the Pacific shore to explore the hidden lives of playful sea otters, predatory wolves with an appetite for seafood, and even a glimpse of the rarely-seen seals and sea lions who inhabit the protected territory of San Miguel Island — the westernmost point of California’s Channel Islands National Park.
