How that How To Get Away With Murder reunion happened
(Light spoiler ahead) Fans of murder mysteries may have recognized a familiar face in the March 30 episode of Grosse Pointe Garden Society. Jack Falahee appeared as a hotshot realtor who rivals Aja Naomi King's Catherine, a reunion for the two actors who co-starred in six seasons of How To Get Away With Murder.
Speaking to NBC Insider, Falahee revealed how the pair's off-camera friendship led to their on-camera showdown. "I think that we're really lucky that it truly became a family unit on [HTGAWM]," Falahee told us. "We all genuinely loved each other's company. And Aja and I have been very, very close."
Looking for work after the pandemic, strikes and an injury took him out of the game for a bit. So Falahee reached out to a number of friends asking if they knew of any roles he'd be a fit for. "Without missing a beat, Aja called me two days later and said that there was a fun little role on her show, and if I'd be interested, she'd put in a good word for me," Falahee said. "I cried because it meant so much to me, honestly. I just think that that's a testament to who she is, you know? She walks the walk."
As flawed and fickle as Catherine is in Grosse Pointe, King is good-hearted and honest in real life. "I'm just am really grateful, and it was such a pleasure. I just love her so much," Falahee said.
