The original series followed the adventures and travels of Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) as he time-traveled to different eras and dimensions—forced to body-hop around the universe after a botched experiment. Every episode is unique, with our main character jumping into a new body and a brand new set of obstacles to leap through each week.
And the new Quantum Leap will follow a similar premise. This time, it's focusing on a new character, Dr. Ben Song (played by Raymond Lee). The series is set 30 years after the iconic Dr. Sam Beckett disappeared into the Quantum Leap, with our main man Ben exploring the mysteries of the original experiment and the still-missing Dr. Sam Beckett. Quantum Leap will also star Caitlin Bassett, Nanrisa Lee, Ernie Hudson, and Mason Alexander Park.
"I remember distinctly in sixth grade, it was my best friend's favorite show, and I thought he was such an adult watching something like Quantum Leap," Lee told EW about how he discovered the original Quantum Leap. "By watching with my friend, I became a fan."
