Chrissy Metz Can Do a Scarily Spot-On Impression of a Crying Baby

We haven't stopped crying since This Is Us, either, Chrissy.

By Jackie Manno

Chrissy Metz has proven to us that she can do it all. She’s got acting talent, singing chops, and as we’ve most recently learned, she can do some seriously impressive vocal impersonations as well.

How to Watch

In September the This Is Us star joined a team with Jimmy Fallon for a game of Password, hosted by Keke Palmer. (Their opponents were hilarious Community actors Yvette Nicole Brown and Joel McHale.) When Palmer introduced Metz to the crowd, Fallon gushed over Metz’s singing abilities, prompting her to perform a gorgeous riff that led the audience to cheers.

However, Fallon then revealed Metz’s “secret talent” that also involved using her voice. “She does the best impersonation of a baby crying,” he mentioned. Then, without hesitation, Metz casually opened her mouth and let out an eerily accurate infant’s wail, causing Palmer’s jaw to drop wide open in awe.

“Terrifying,” McHale commented, clearly stunned, while Palmer asked, “How did you discover this?”

“I taught preschool, so I had a lot of crying,” Metz told the Host, adding context to her source of inspiration.

But Metz’s impressions didn’t stop there. She then went on to demonstrate a perfect dolphin noise while tapping her knuckle to her cheek. The talent!

Metz and Fallon’s team went on to win that round of Password when she managed to correctly guess the word "mime" from Fallon’s hint "clown,” showing that her newest talent may perhaps be reading minds.
