Can You Do All of Epic Universe in 1 Day? Here’s What Travelers Should Know

Here are NBC Insider's recommendations so visitors can make the most of their Epic Universe experience.

By Jax Miller

There is A LOT to see at Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe, but is it possible to see it all in one day?

Well, NBC Insider accepted the challenge, attending a preview for all five immersive worldsCelestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe ahead of its May 22, 2025, grand opening. We questioned whether guests could walk the entirety of the park and all its wonders in one day and curated a few recommendations so visitors could make the most of their epic experience.

Here's what we found.

Can you do Epic Universe in 1 day?

In short, no. There's simply too much to see, experience, eat and do in the five worlds that make up Epic Universe to fully complete it all in one day, but hope is not lost.

Impeccably well-curated lines ensure thrill-seekers and vacationers get to pack as much as possible into a single day. Those behind creating Epic Universe have ensured an easy-to-navigate lay of the land, made easier with the Universal FL app and its interactive map. That said, the reason you'll struggle to do it all in a day is because of all there is in the park and not because Epic Universe is hard to walk. In fact, we found it to be laid out quite well with minimal walking in and around the worlds. Now, it's still a theme park so expect to get your daily steps in and then some, but overall it was easy to get between worlds and navigate each one.

Single-day tickets — on sale now on the Universal Orlando website — are a perfect option for guests who may want to see Epic Universe and Epic Universe only. Ticket holders can easily cross a couple of thresholds within one day and see a vast majority of what they have to offer. If you do only have one day, ideally you and your group should go in with a list of things you wish to see and check them off one-by-one. Whether you're out to ride the adrenaline-inducing Stardust Racers at Celestial Park or there for the family-friendly Fyre Drill for those brave enough to enter the Isle of Berk’s dragon-laden waters, there's plenty to do to fill your day. However, if your goal is to see everything and get the full Epic Universe experience, your best bet is to try for multiple days in the park and try for maybe two to three worlds each day.

Early access to Epic Universe is available for select guests during its preview period beginning on April 17, 2025.

Although there is plenty to see for anyone in possession of a single-day ticket, the 2-Day Epic Universe Inclusive Ticket, which not only gives you one-day access to Epic Universe but gives you the chance to explore Universal Studios Florida and/or Universal Islands of Adventure on a separate date.

A 2-Day ticket, however, makes seeing all of Epic Universe possible if you visit two worlds per day with Celestial Park as a central hub.

Plus, don’t miss out on the ticket and pass options that allow you to visit all the Universal Orlando parks, including Volcano Bay, such as the 3-Day, 4-Day, and 5-Day tickets. There are plenty of combos, too, with either one-park-per-day or free roam tickets to access Universal Orlando parks on a date separate from an unforgettable visit to Epic Universe. Prices vary with each tailored bundle.

To make the most of your time, take advantage of Epic Universe’s Express Passes to skip the lines across all next-level worlds.

Hotels at Epic Universe

Traversing the portals inside Epic Universe can be tiring, but thankfully, multiple vacation packages are available so travelers can’t rest their weary heads. Epic Universe’s own Helios Grand Hotel offers expansive views, exquisite dining, massive pools, and more in the Mediterranean-style marvel modeled after the Greek god of the sun.

Located within Celestial Park, it’s a sure way to see as much as possible during your visit to Epic Universe.

Epic Universe’s space-age-themed resorts, Terra Luna and Stella Nova — each separate hotel consisting of a whopping 750 rooms and located just minutes away from the park — offer out-of-this-world experiences to make visiting the park easy and convenient.
