Boston Rob's Accent Is So Strong Playing Golf with Dylan Efron (VIDEO)

Winner-winner, baked bean dinner! Boston Rob and Dylan Efron are the cutest besties.

Dylan Efron took home the top prize at the end of Season 3 of The Traitors, and now it looks like he'll continue his winning streak, besting "Boston" Rob Mariano in golf. On Instagram in mid-April, Efron gave fans a glimpse of their friendly round of golf, in which Mariano's Boston accent is as strong as his game is weak.

"One round" is all it took for Dylan Efron to dominate Boston Rob in golf

"Alright, play one hole with me and Boston Rob," Efron told the camera on IG, panning to Mariano, who set the terms: "Closest to the pin, looza buyz tha beers." That's "loser buys the beers" in Boston-speak, as Efron incorporated Mariano's thick accent into his captions. The accent is so iconic that fellow former Traitor and Deal Or No Deal Island player Parvati Shallow can do a spot-on impression!

After Efron got off a pretty good shot, Mariano sent his ball...straight into the lake. He wasted no time using his DONDI negotiation skills, telling Efron, "That was just for your entertainment value. That doesn’t count for the bet." Sure, Rob.

"Boston Rob is ALWAYS best under pressure 👀⛳️" Efron mockingly captioned the clip, but the Survivor veteran can dish it as good as he takes it, commenting, "Oh look 👀you have your shirt on… that’s different!!!😂," a clear dig at Efron's penchant for posting thirst traps online. Not that we're complaining.

Though their time together on The Traitors may have come to a close, Boston Rob and Dylan Efron are keeping the bromance alive in person and online. They're the Backwards Hat Bros. Efron picked up Rob from LAX. They even did a whole "miss you" skit to a song from The Fast and the Furious franchise...and to one from High School Musical.

In a March 2025 interview with The Hollywood ReporterEfron spoke about his genuine connection with Mariano. "At the end of the day, I love Boston Rob," he said. "What you see on TV is truly him. He's not putting on an act, and he's even funnier than you see. He's not this big mafioso, cutthroat person. He's there to have fun and he's having fun."

"I'm watching the edit and I'm like, 'Oh my gosh. I'm so dumb. How did I not put it together that they were amping up this relationship?'" Efron recalled. "But no regrets, obviously. Any time I'm showing emotion, I love it. He genuinely is a friend. We'll be in touch the rest of our lives. That was a highlight for sure."
