The Voice Coach Blake Shelton has been staying busy ahead of the Season 23 premiere on March 6.  The country star joined forces with Zac Brown Band to release a revamped version of the track "Out in the Middle," from the band's 2021 album The Comeback. The release included a new official music video, and fans aren't ready!

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

The Comeback is the best album we’ve ever made, and to re-record a few tracks with some musical legends was such an honor,” Brown said in a statement, according to Music Row. "Blake Shelton is a country music powerhouse and sharing ‘Out in the Middle’ with him, a song that represents our southern roots and country pride, is absolutely unreal. We’re so grateful to do what we do and we can’t wait to share the full album with our fans.”

And Shelton said, per Music Row, “I’ve always been such a big fan of Zac as an Artist and especially as a songwriter. This song in particular really resonated with me. It reminds me of how I was raised and where I come from—out in the middle!”

Keep an eye out for the deluxe version of The Comeback set to be released this summer.

Season 23 of The Voice will be Shelton's last as a Coach.

“I’ve been wrestling with this for a while, and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from The Voice after Season 23,” Shelton said in a statement. “This show has changed my life in every way for the better, and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns, and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people; you are the best."

He continued, "It takes a lot of work, passion, and adult beverages (Ha!) to pull off a live show twice a week. I’ve made lifelong bonds with Carson and every single one my fellow Coaches over the years, including my wife Gwen Stefani! I have to give a huge shoutout to the singers–the ‘Voices,’ who come on this stage season after season and amaze us with their talent, and a special thanks to those who chose me to be their Coach. Lastly, it’s about y’all, the fans, who watch and support these Artists, us Coaches, and everyone at The Voice who are chasing their dreams. It would not happen without you!"

Watch The Voice on Peacock and NBC.
