Actor Bio

Peri Gilpin co-stars as Principal Taylor on NBC's comedy "Mr. Robinson." She is best known to television audiences as radio producer Roz Doyle on the Emmy Award-winning comedy series "Frasier."

Gilpin recently wrapped production on the independent movie "Occupy, Texas." She held a lead role last year in the Lifetime movie "The Choking Game" and appeared as a guest star on Showtime's "Masters of Sex."

Other television credits include "Men at Work," "CSI" and "Make It or Break It." Gilpin has also appeared in the Emmy-nominated Showtime film "Laughter on the 23rd Floor," written by Neil Simon and starring Nathan Lane. Guest appearances include "Hot in Cleveland," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," Desperate Housewives," "Medium" and multiple roles on the animated Fox hit "King of the Hill."

Gilpin has appeared in the films "How to Kill Your Neighbor's Dog," with Kenneth Branagh and Robin Wright Penn, and "Spring Forward," with Liev Schreiber.

Gilpin's theater credits include three summers with the Williamstown Theatre in Massachusetts. She starred as Alexa Vere de Vere in "As Bees in Honey Drown" at the Off-Broadway Lucille Lortel Theatre and at The Pasadena Playhouse. In 2009, she enjoyed a successful run in "Matthew Modine Saves the Alpacas" at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles.

As a child, Gilpin enrolled in the Dallas Theater Center and went on study drama at the University of Texas in Austin and the British American Academy in London.

She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and twin daughters.
