Tim Kang currently stars as Detective Gordon Katsumoto on the NBC drama "Magnum P.I."Kang may be best known for his role as Detective Kimball Cho on the former long-running series "The Mentalist."Born and raised in San Francisco, Kang graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in political science before heading east to attend the prestigious A.R.T. Institute at Harvard University, where he received his Master of Fine Arts degree. He also studied at the Moscow Art Theatre School in Russia.
