Kadeem Hardison and Sinbad have brought their fellow cast members from “A Different World” back to campus for a day full of stories and surprises. Jasmine Guy, Cree Summer, Dawnn Lewis and Darryl M. Bell round out the crew that helped turn “A Different World” from a simple sitcom spin-off into a series that influenced a generation of Black minds. The actors not only share casting stories and behind-the-scenes buzz, but they’re also joined by show Executive Producer Susan Fales-Hill and the legendary Director/Executive Producer Debbie Allen. Kadeem and Sinbad also arrange a visit by an esteemed Morehouse College professor to discuss the ongoing cultural impact of “A Different World” as well as a heartfelt message from Emmy Award-winner Lena Waithe. “A Different World” introduced an audience of millions to the world of historically Black colleges and universities. The cast and crew paved the way for other Black voices to be heard. That’s why “A Different World” helped make a better world.
