Actor Bio

Zachary Levi will play Luke on the new NBC drama "Heroes Reborn."

"Heroes Reborn" marks a return to NBC for Levi, who starred in the popular series "Chuck" for five seasons. Levi will also be hosting and producing "Geeks Who Drink" for Syfy, a game show based on the pub trivia contest of the same name.

Levi recently made his Broadway debut as Aaron, a sweet guy looking for love in the witty musical "First Date," which received critical acclaim.

On the big screen, Levi most recently appeared in the Marvel film "Thor 2" as Fandral the Dashing. He also co-starred opposite Mandy Moore in Disney's "Tangled," a twist on the classic Rapunzel story. Additionally, Levi appeared in the Christmas release "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel." Other roles include "Spiral" with Amber Tamblyn, and "Big Momma's House 2" with Martin Lawrence.

Levi grew up in Ventura County, California, and began acting in theater at age six, performing lead roles in regional productions of "Grease," "The Outsiders," "Oliver," "Godspell," "The Wizard of Oz," "Big River" and "Marvin's Room." It was this early training that ultimately brought him to the attention of Hollywood.

Levi devotes much time and energy to philanthropic work as an ambassador for Operation Smile through his company the Nerd Machine, and his annual Comic-Con event NERD HQ, which has raised more than half a million dollars for the charity to date.

Levi currently resides in Los Angeles.
