NADIA G

Celebrity Chef Bio

Nadia G is young, funny and can cook up a storm in three-inch cherry stilettos. Hailed as the "Julia Child of the Net generation," she is the creator and host of the hit Cooking Channel series "Nadia G's Bitchin' Kitchen," (http://bitchinlifestyle.tv) "Bite This" and "Sick Kitchens." Hilarious, informative and deliciously demented, her stylish brand of comedy-lifestyle shows are unlike anything else on TV.

Nadia G was an early pioneer of the online entertainment industry. For a number of years she produced skit comedy online, but always felt something was missing - the food! In 2007 she created "Nadia G's Bitchin' Kitchen" so she could have her cake and laugh at it too. A viral success, the show quickly gained the attention of mainstream broadcast media. In 2010, "Nadia G's Bitchin' Kitchen" premiered on Food Network Canada and Cooking Channel in the U.S., making it the first ever online lifestyle entertainment brand to successfully transition from the Internet to primetime. "Bitchin' Kitchen" is now a hit in 14 countries and an international sensation.

Armed with a crew of misfit food correspondents, a tea towel made of chain mail and a sharp tongue, Nadia ushered in a new alternative to the standard cooking show. In each episode she shares accessible, inspiring recipes to suit nearly any life situation, from breaking up to making up - all peppered with her signature "Nadvice."

Fearlessness, patience, creativity and love are Nadia G's secret ingredients and her kitchen code to success. Trained at the culinary institute of Hard Wooden Spoon Whacks, her passion for food and cooking came from growing up in a boisterous Italian family of cooks and caterers who never quite gave up the belief that Casalinga-style cuisine is the center of the universe. Nadia says, "You don't have to look far to taste some of the best food the world has to offer. I'd pit my grandmother against a three-star Michelin chef any day." As a testament to her culinary home-schooling, Nadia recently showed off her kitchen prowess with appearances on Food Network's esteemed competition programs, including "Chopped All-Stars" and "Iron Chef America."

In October 2011, Nadia released her second best-selling cookbook, "Cookin' for Trouble" (Ballantine), in which she shares recipes and cooking tips for beginner and seasoned home cooks. The book provides a creative menu, with chapters like "(Dysfunctional) Family Pizza Night," "Girl's Night In" and "Hi-Speed Suppers." Nadia G's first book, "The Bitchin' Kitchen Cookbook: Rock Your Kitchen and Let the Boys Clean Up the Mess" (skirt!, 2009), was also a best-seller. Providing delectable recipes and hilarious anecdotes, the book shows how even the most novice cooks can recreate "Nadia G's Bitchin' Kitchen" cuisine.

In addition to being a chef-comedienne, Nadia G also has a fierce sense of style. Her bright red lips, wild hairstyles and sexy heels earned her a coveted spot on Maxim's 2012 "Hot 100" list. When not appearing on national TV shows like "The Talk," "The Queen Latifah Show" and the "Today" show or racking up accolades such as "Outstanding Entertainer" and "Best Comedy" in the 2013 Taste Awards, "Most Addictive Reality Star" from the 2012 LOGO's NewNowNext Awards, and nextMEDIA's Interactive Award for the "Digital Woman of the Year," Montreal native Nadia G enjoys working out her rock-solid abs and writing songs such as her recent viral hit, "Brooklyn Hipster Brunch." As Nadia G says, "It's all about making cooking fun and inspiring a new generation to rock their kitchen!"
