Actor Bio

Lin-Manuel Miranda plays Dr. Ruben Marcado, a clinical pharmacologist who helps suppress Dr. Jason Cole's (Steven Pasquale) alter ego in NBC's new drama "Do No Harm."

Miranda is best known for his work as the lead actor, composer and lyricist of Broadway's "In the Heights," which received four Tony Awards, including Best Orchestrations, Best Choreography, and Best Musical. Miranda received a Tony Award for Best Score and was nominated for Best Leading Actor in a Musical.

He has appeared in "The Electric Company," "Sesame Street," "The Sopranos," "House," "Modern Family," "Sex and the City" (movie) and "The Odd Life of Timothy Green." He co-composed (with Tom Kitt) and co-wrote the lyrics (with Amanda Greene) for "Bring It On: The Musical." He also performed for President Obama and the First Family at the first-ever poetry jam at the White House.

Miranda currently resides in New York City with his wife.
