Actor Bio

Andy Favreau stars as Matthew, Vince’s (Anders Holm) sweet, fiercely loyal younger brother, roommate and head trainer at the family gym, Champions, in NBC’s new comedy series “Champions.”

Matthew is the more sensitive child of their dysfunctional family and has always longed for a more complete home life. So when Vince’s teenage son, Michael, shows up, it fills the nephew-sized hole in his heart and frees him to become the homemaker he was always meant to be.

Favreau recently starred opposite Jason Biggs in Freeform’s original holiday telefilm, “Angry Angel,” which will be followed by a coveted guest star role on “Will & Grace.”

He also held memorable arcs on Fox’s “The Mick,” with Kaitlin Olson; TNT’s “Animal Kingdom,” with Ellen Barkin; and NBC’s “Aquarius,” alongside David Duchovny. Guest roles include “The Arrangement,” “American Woman,” “2 Broke Girls,” “Rosewood,” “Young & Hungry,” “Bones,” “Revenge,” “A to Z,” “NCIS” and “1600 Penn.”

His real-life brother, Jon (no relation to the Jon Favreau from “Iron Man”), served as President Barack Obama’s chief speechwriter. Originally from Boston, Favreau currently resides in Los Angeles.
