Joe Lo Truglio plays Detective Charles Boyle on NBC's Golden Globe Award-winning comedy "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."

Lo Truglio is an actor, producer and writer who has appeared in such comedies as "Superbad,"  "Pineapple Express," "Role Models," "I Love You, Man," "Wreck-It Ralph," "Pitch Perfect" and "Pitch Perfect 2," as well as the cult classics "The Station Agent" and "Wet Hot American Summer." Recent projects include Joe Swanberg's "Win It All" and "Easy," which are both available on Netflix. He will also be starring opposite Anna Camp in the indie feature "Anna" in 2019.

Lo Truglio's previous television credits include starring roles on "Free Agents" and the long-running hit cable series "Reno 911!" He has guest-voiced on "Bob's Burgers," "American Dad!" and "Robot Chicken," and guest-starred on "How I Met Your Mother" and "Community." He also guested on "Drunk History" and "Comedy Bang! Bang!"

Lo Truglio, a founding member of iconic sketch comedy troupe the State, lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress and writer Beth Dover, and their son, Eli.
