Actor Bio

Michael Luwoye stars as Anthony Little on the new NBC drama "Bluff City Law."

On stage, Luwoye recently took his last bow in the leading role of Alexander Hamilton in "Hamilton" on Broadway after a critically acclaimed run.

Luwoye played the role of Jacob, a Ugandan dreamer, in off-Broadway's "Invisible Thread," for which he received a 2016 Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical. Luwoye starred as Peter Tosh in the world premiere of "Marley," a Bob Marley bio-musical, at Baltimore Center Stage. Other regional credits include roles in "Cardboard Piano" at Actors Theatre of Louisville and "Witness Uganda" at American Repertory Theater.

Luwoye's other television credits include guest starring roles on SYFY's "The Magicians" and major recurring roles on Spike Lee's "She's Gotta Have It" for Netflix and Fox's "The Gifted." 

Luwoye is an Alabama native and a graduate of the University of Alabama.
