Ukweli Roach plays Dr. Robert Borden on the NBC drama "Blindspot."
Roach was brought up in South London by an English mother and Guyanese father. He attended London's prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and made his professional stage debut as Tybalt in "Romeo and Juliet" at the world-renowned Shakespeare's Globe.
His credits include some of the U.K.'s most critically acclaimed television series: "Eternal Law" (ITV), "Starlings" (Sky 1), "Silk" (BBC One) and "Grantchester" (ITV). He recently made his U.S. television debut on E!'s premiere scripted series, "The Royals."
Roach is also an accomplished dancer and choreographer, touring with international hip-hop dance revue Blaze The Show and working with artists such as Mariah Carey, Kylie Minogue and Cheryl Cole.
He also played a leading role in the film "StreetDance 3D," which opened at number one in the U.K.
Roach is one of the artistic directors and choreographers of London's renowned BirdGang Dance Company, which continues to create avant-garde hip-hop theater works that are performed all over the world, including San Francisco, Zimbabwe, Barcelona, Las Vegas and Switzerland.
