Gabrielle Union has joined "America's Got Talent" as a judge for the popular show's 14th season this summer.
Union currently co-stars with Jessica Alba as Syd Burnett on Charter Communications' original drama series "L.A.'s Finest," a spinoff of the box office hit "Bad Boys." She recently toplined the BET series "Being Mary Jane," which was created by Mara Brock Akil, and received a 2014 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special for the role. The final episode of the series aired in April.
Her previous TV credits include "Moesha," "ER," "Sister, Sister," "Friends," "City of Angels," "Flash Forward," "Life," "Ugly Betty," "Night Stalker" and "Something the Lord Made."
On the big screen, Union recently co-starred in "The Public," opposite Alec Baldwin, Taylor Schilling, Jena Malone, Emilio Estevez and Che "Rhymefest" Smith. Previous film roles include "Top Five," "Think Like a Man," "Bad Boys II," "Deliver Us From Eva," "Bring It On" and "She's All That," among several others.
In 2017, Union added New York Times best-selling author to her credits with the release of her book, "We're Going to Need More Wine: Stories That Are Funny, Complicated and True" - a series of essays, personal stories and reflections on a range of topics that continue to define the contemporary landscape: sexuality, womanhood, friendship, race, marriage and beauty. The book was recently released in paperback.
Union made her production debut by executive producing the Lifetime movie "With This Ring," a romantic comedy based on the best-seller "The Vow" by Denene Millner. She also executive produced "Almost Christmas" with Will Packer for Universal Pictures and the home invasion drama "Breaking In."
In the branding sphere, Union launched her Flawless hair care line, which has been sold exclusively through Ulta Beauty since 2017. Union is also the face of NY&Co's 7th Avenue collection and has her own exclusive namesake collection for the brand that is currently available for purchase.
Union's passion for acting is rivaled by her championing of causes such as breast health and combating sexual violence.
A native of Nebraska, Union currently splits her time between Miami and Los Angeles with her family.
