CHIBI UNITY

  • Hometown: Niigata, Japan

Bio

A 27-member fusion dance crew from Niigata, Japan, Chibi Unity has been performing in competitions all over the globe. They were formed in 2017 when leader Rena Goto combined two different competitive dance troupes to become a supergroup that represents the best of the artistry and talent that Japan has to offer. Before performing on “AGT,” the crew repeatedly won VIBE JR, a junior-division dance competition dedicated to bringing local talent to a global audience. When they’re not competing or practicing, Chibi Unity hosts a number of workshops and online classes for dancers of all ages. They hope their group will inspire connections between people, cultures and countries through the art of dance. Chibi Unity was awarded the “America’s Got Talent” Group Golden Buzzer by impressing the judges and Terry with their unique and moving performance. The group hopes that their performance on “America’s Got Talent” will encourage other artists to spread their wings globally.
