Bio

Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Barry Brewer Jr. began his career as a stand-up comedian in 2002. He perfected his craft by performing in comedy clubs throughout Chicago before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. His early success came from televised comedy competitions including "Coming to the Stage" on BET and "Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes" on TV One, but he is best known for his stand-up comedy special and Tyler Perry's "Bruh." He had a recurring role on the BET series "Games People Play" as well as an appearance in the Netflix special "Kevin Hart's Guide to Black History." Barry hopes that his appearance on the "AGT" stage will inspire others from his community to strive toward their lifelong goals.
