Daniella Pineda stars as Ruby Simms on NBC's new drama "American Odyssey."

Pineda is an actress, writer and producer. In 2009 she graduated from Mill College with a degree in sociology and radio journalism. In 2010, Pineda left San Francisco to pursue a screenwriting and producing career in independent horror films in New York.

While trying to land any PA job she could get, she wrote and produced a series of satirical YouTube videos that landed on sites such as The Huffington Post and Gawker. This got the attention of her current manager, who advised Pineda to consider a career as an actress. Shortly after, Pineda booked spots on "Homeland," "Inside Amy Schumer," two features and a short with director Ed Burns, as well as a series regular role on the series "The Originals."

Pineda currently resides in New York City and is finishing her first full-length feature, "The Devil's Breath."
