Prince Charles Steps In For Queen Elizabeth To Give Her Speech At Parliament For The First Time

Prince Charles is stepping up! The Prince of Wales stepped in to take on the important duty of giving the Queen's Speech at the State Opening of Parliament on Tuesday by special order of his mother, Queen Elizabeth. Charles' son, Prince William, attended for the first time ever, which marked the first time that the father-son pair represented the monarch in her absence. On Monday, Buckingham Palace announced that the 96-year-old wasn't able to attend amid ongoing mobility issues.
