Kelly Clarkson is opening up about her children have processed her divorce from Brandon Blackstock. "The Voice" coach shed light on her life post-split in a candid interview on the "Angie Martinez IRL" podcast on Wednesday. She told Angie that one of her rituals is to check in with 8-year-old daughter River and 6-year-old son Remington each night before they go to sleep. "I literally ask my kids every night when we're snuggling and I put them to bed, I'm like, 'Are you happy? And if you're not, what could make you happier?' … A lot of times it would be like, 'I'm just really sad. I wish Mommy and Daddy were in the same house.' And they're really honest about it," she said.
