David Walton stars as Will Freeman, the ultimate man-child who lives a charmed existence, in NBC's comedy "About a Boy."

A Boston native, Walton started acting in high school but began his formal training at Brown University. He also studied at The Actors Center as well as the British American Drama Academy.

Shortly after moving to New York, he was quickly cast in Naked Angels' production of "One Day on Wall Street." His commendable performance caught the attention of an executive who cast him in the series "Cracking Up," starring alongside Jason Schwartzman, Molly Shannon and Christopher McDonald. Since then, he has starred in several television series, including "The Loop," "Heist," "Quarterlife" and the NBC comedies "100 Questions" and "Perfect Couples."

Walton received great reviews for his star-making turn opposite Amanda Peet in NBC's comedy "Bent," about a recovering gambling addict and womanizer (Walton) and his polar opposite (Peet). Publications from the New York Times to Daily Variety heralded his comedic timing and leading-man charisma.

Other recent credits include a multi-episode arc as Zooey Deschanel's love interest on "New Girl" as well as a starring role in ABC's Hallmark Hall of Fame film "The Makeover," opposite Julia Stiles.

On the film side, Walton was part of the all-star ensemble cast of Sony's box-office hit "Think Like a Man Too" and starred along with Jeremy Sisto in the indie comedy "Break Point," which premiered at SXSW in 2014. Walton might be best known for his role as the evil boyfriend Dr. Rick in the hit 2009 cult film "Fired Up."

During his down time, Walton is a golf, tennis, hockey and backgammon addict and currently resides in the Los Angeles area with his wife, actress Majandra Delfino, and their two children, Cecilia Delphine and Louis Augustus.
