About the Show
Last year, primetime viewers discovered what late-night audiences have known for a long time - nobody does political satire like Saturday Night Live. The premiere of SNL Weekend Update Thursday matched NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the half-hour in nearly two years. Based on this success, we're doing it all again - skewing "today's top stories" on Thursdays in primetime for six LIVE 1/2 hour shows in a row. There's never been a more honest or hysterical look at politics and topical events. And there's no telling who will show up.
