=== Taking a Shot

===

At the Particle Physics Symposium, over comms... when I fed Mr. Agent Steven Bloom the science research, he turned it into pure magic gold. It was like a ventriloquist and his dummy. If the dummy was 10 times as handsome and capable as the ventriloquist. If the ventriloquist didn't have so much to learn from the dummy. I guess in that respect it was nothing like that. Because what he did with what I said... the levels he took it to... he is truly a master craftsman.

Shin Won's daughter for the device? Did Samantha just say North Korea? As in no visitors North Korea? Totalitarian. Totally not somewhere I feel the need to visit. Whoa, looks like I'm not. They're going to keep me in this pretty sweet hotel room. Geneva does it right. Is that a slogan? Feel like I've heard that one before.

Babysitting is a lot more tiring than I remember, but the hotel room is still sweet. Shin Won must have already passed out. I don't hear a thing. Not a peep. I hope I can sleep as soundly as him. What if I snore? I don't want to wake the poor guy. He just wants his daughter. Understandable, I can get behind that. I hope this night in North Korea is treating you well Mr. Agent Steven Bloom and goodnight silent Shin Won. I look forward to our breakfast together in the morning.

I'm glad to have them, well... him back, but the vein in Steven's forehead lets me know he's angry before the words come out - but of course I bugged the room! I'm like a boy scout with every badge. And the most important badge is the one that says I don't tie my shoes without a backup plan. That's the level of preparedness. You wouldn't believe the amount of backup plans I have for when my shoes won't tie.

On our way home - thinking about Steven's tango with that crazy Frenchman. I was able to overlook the irony of a fight to death in a kitchen of all places, but it's like Connery said in The Untouchables, they pull a knife, you pull a gun. And that I did. And when Mr. Agent Steven Bloom said take a shot I did. Because I listen when he talks, even when he instructs me not to push a button to a mysterious device that countries are fighting over. Bummer.
