Ben Schwartz

Ben Schwartz stars as Bill Hoyt, a CIA field agent whose professional admiration for Steven (Boris Kodjoe) isn't hard to miss in NBC's spy drama "Undercovers."

Born and raised in New York, Schwartz is an award-winning, multi-faceted talent who acts, writes and directs.

Among his feature film credits are "Everybody's Fine" with Robert DeNiro and "Peep World" with Rainn Wilson, Michael C. Hall and Sarah Silverman.

On television, Schwartz has appeared in guest-starring roles on NBC's "Parks and Recreation" and "Accidentally on Purpose." Schwartz will have his own segment on the upcoming season of HBO's "Funny or Die Presents" called "Terrible Decisions with Ben Schwartz."

Schwartz earned an Emmy Award for his writing contributions on Hugh Jackman's opening number for the 2009 Academy Awards. He recently sold an original pitch to Universal based on an idea by Brian Grazer with Imagine Entertainment attached to produce.

He was a staff writer for the third season of Adult Swim's "Robot Chicken" and served as a freelance writer for "Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update" as well as the monologue for "The Late Show with David Letterman." He has published two books with Harper Collins: "Grandma's Dead: Breaking Bad News with Baby Animals" and "Why is Daddy in a Dress: Asking Awkward Questions with Baby Animals."

Schwartz is an alumnus of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and continues to perform there regularly. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
