This past week, I visited not one, but THREE late night shows...and surprisingly, not one of them was Carson's. Our coaches were all over your late night television, spouting off the excitement of our first two weeks of live shows, and I'm the lucky duck who got to tag along with them and hang backstage. Here's a quick recap.
MONDAY:
Adam sat down with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show. Jay ragged on him about cars, and Adam watched his sailor's mouth much better than he manages to do on our own show. Afterwards, Jay made cracks about the size of Adam's, umm, "manhood". This picture was taken right at that moment:
WEDNESDAY:
Cee Lo visited George Lopez while Blake followed in Adam's footsteps over at The Tonight Show. I crashed Cee Lo's gig first, raiding his dressing room and stealing his candy before he showed up. I totally got busted. Thankfully Cee Lo has a kind heart and an affinity for Fritos, which I DIDN'T steal, so I was quickly forgiven.
Then I popped back over to the NBC studios to check in with Blake. No surprise, as soon as I walked in the door, the cowboy offered me a drink: Bacardi and Sprite to be exact. I politely declined...more due to the fact that I had plenty to drink the night before than actually wanting to stay sober while "working". As the picture below shows, I was still pounding water when we finally wrapped up backstage.
