WE BE BATTLING AGAIN!!!
After last week's EPIC (and a bit controversial) battles, I was pumped to see how this week's episode panned out. Thankfully, we weren't disappointed.
Side track: Anyone notice that all 3 of our female advisors go by one name? Monica, Sia, and Reba? Random...

NAKIA AND TJE:
Seriously Cee Lo??? Why do you need to pair people we don't want to see go home? Nakia and Tje are two of the coolest dudes on this show. Not only that, but they became best buds during this process, bonding over the fact that they're both from Texas. As soon as the song started, all I thought was Tje's voice sounds like butter. Smooth, yummy butter. Then Nakia busts in with his super unique sound and the battle was on. And their harmonies were AMAZEBALLS!
SO sad to say bye to Tje, but when I spoke to both of them afterwards, I could tell they had formed such a strong bond that I wouldn't be surprised if we see some more Nakia/Tje duets soon. Fingers crossed!Side track: I used to think the silent "J" in Tje was really cool, but now that my spell checked has changed his name to "The" every time I type it, it's making me mental.
ELENOWEN AND JARED:
When Blake made this announcement, you could tell from the look on Jared's face that he was NOT expecting to be paired with the gorgeous couple from Nashville at all. And then to be given 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'...well, we all knew this battle was not in Jared's favor.
This was also a pairing that really didn't mesh like a lot of the others did. When it came down to show time, we were all pleasantly surprised by the amazing blend they managed to find. But I've learned that Jared's a fighter and a survivor and I really feel like that's ultimately what impressed Blake.
JAVIER AND ANGELA:
Everyone on production knew whoever was paired against Javier would basically be David going up against Goliath (an extremely nice, humble, and lovely Goliath). But can we all agree that Angela put up a damn fight?!?! I truly believe that getting paired with Javier actually made Angela up her game dramatically. And though her time was short here on The Voice, I think she's one of the few who can legitimately say they really grew and learned and improved from being on this show.

Side track: Does anyone else think that when Angela smiles, she looks like a super adorable and sexy Stitch from Lilo & Stitch? No? Just me? Okay...moving on...BEVERLY AND JUSTIN:
Woo boy was I excited for this battle!! These two are such strong personalities with EPIC voices. And who ever thought Christina would pick such a damn cool song by The Who?????
Justin was very confident about the Battle Rounds up until the moment he was paired with Beverly. I think he knew the only one on his team that could give him a run for his money was our bald rocker chick. Obviously that was the case. He rocked, he rolled, but he had to go home. While Justin's exit means Christina is left with an all female team, I think Beverly could be the artist the other coaches are afraid of.That's my wrap up for this week! I think this time around, it's The Who that's stuck in my head...
...who am I kidding? I've been singing "Leather and Lace" for a 8 days now...
Love4Life...
