When it comes down to battling Patrick I felt like it was a great pairing we are both very strong singers, and the song choice really worked in both our favors, he loves Elvis and can do the "Elvis" thing no problem, but for me I took this song and took you to church on it. I loved how I got to show my style while singing Elvis. I LOVED having the chairs turned it just gave me extra audience members to look at. I also loved having the advisors there. So much fun . Before this performance I was listening to tons of upbeat music; Sia, Ke$ha, Britney Spears, and Aly & A.J.

But maybe getting eliminated was better, I sounded great and I got told that was I with any of the other coaches they would have chosen me!!! After sounding good and getting the comments that I got from the coaches I was absolutely thrilled, I know that I have what it takes to stick around and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

The days leading up to the blind audition were exciting, stressful, but most of all completely crazy and fun. I was hanging out in my hotel room being lazy and practicing for the audition, sometimes the piano in the hotel was available to use and so I would go and play around on the piano, sing and write music, but most of all have fun. I also got to work with some amazing vocal coaches, my coach was Romeo who really helped me with the performance aspect of my song and with technique and making sure I don't ever give up technique for performance. Rob and Edie were the other coaches who worked with us and they were absolutely amazing too ☺.

]]> Carson Daly who also interviewed me which was so crazy, my mom loved him (she was so nervous). Before I go on stage I really like to be alone and that was hard to do with all of my fellow artists around, but I got my quiet alone time before the audition. Then right as I got put on deck to be next, I saw some people coming back from their auditions and they informed me that the Coaches needed lunch, so I got to wait another hour. No hard feelings though, I just got extra quiet time. So I headed over to the stage and waited outside to go in, the make up artist was so sweet and we chatted for a minute. Then right before I went on stage, I got a great little pep talk.
