V-Correspondent - Tje Austin

Tje Austin's blog

Adopted at just four days old, Tje grew up in a large, multi-racial, Mormon family and counts his eight siblings as his best friends. The son of a United States Marine, he's lived in five different states and in Japan but currently calls Sweetwater, Texas home. His passions are music and video games, and he's living out a dream: to meet and work with Cee Lo Green.

Getting Prepped For Blind Auditions

Dear Music Lovers and Friends---I picked a Bruno Mars song for my Blind Audition and I really wanna rock it out!  It has some high parts in it.  I would like to do this with my band when I get back home.  Hopefully we will be on a major stage by that time! I want Coldplay status.  If I make it--when I make it!!--through the blind audition, I want to be on Cee Lo's team.  He likes Star Wars.  In that aspect, we share a kinship.  Lol.  We would not only connect musically but on a nerd level.  PICK ME CEE-LO!!

f.IMAG1030.jpgWardrobing it up!  They are putting me up big time in clothes to make me look like im an actual musician... MY CLOTHES.  Yeah I was asked to bring clothes that I usually wear to perform in, so I brought just a t-shirt and jeans.  Its how I usually look back home.  That's about as fancy as it gets for me.  I wonder what the stage is going to be like. I have the song down.  Bruno Mars has a high range.  I want to do the song justice.  I don't want people saying, oh Bruno was better.  I just want people to say that I did a good version of his song.  Its crazy to think that I am going to be on a huge stage, and so many people are finally going to know who I am AND how to pronounce my name.  Not tuh-juh.  Or teedge.  Its Tje Austin.  Like a bowtie.
