The Blind Auditions made me nervous, but the day of I felt confident and once I hit that first note I felt confident and comfortable. The big lights were a bit intimidating, but I have experienced that before so once I was in it I was good.
I knew that if I didn't get the coaches within the first few notes of the song that I may not make it through. The song that I sang was, "Bring It on Home" by Sam Cooke. I am a huge fan of Sam Cooke and have been singing this song for years. He is one of my idols and it couldn't have been more perfect for me to perform.
When the chair turned around it made me realize that I had done it. I knew then I wasn't the "King of Almost."
