The blind audition was not only nerve-racking for me because of the fact that I was about to be singing in front of four of the most prominent figures in music, but it was also going to be the first time I performed since my mother passed away. I knew once I stepped on that stage that this performance was a little different.
I was used to seeing my mom in the crowd, but this time I just knew that
she was right up on that stage with me. It was that night that I
realized that singing with my mom was not over, it was just a little
different. Okay, so I need to touch on the fact that all four coaches
turned around!! I could not believe it!! I was honestly just hoping for
at least one to turn their chair, and when they all turned around, I
didn't know what to do! I really almost forgot the words! (knock on
wood) As you can tell from my responses to the coaches, I was a little
nervous......okay A LOT nervous! But, I really can't stress enough how much
of a rush that was. Performing is was I love to do, and I think that the
coaches saw that.
