This soulful pop singer's father worked at a radio station, immersing his son in music from an early age; by 13, Javier was writing his own songs. His young talent led to touring gigs and even a contract with Capitol Records, but his career never really took off. Now, the devoted husband and father of two is taking a final shot at pursing his musical dreams before leaving music behind to support his family.

Poker Nights

We have a lot of time to kill in the hotel some days. I've been going to the gym and hanging out with the other artists, but that only occupies a part of the day. We all have been stuck in the hotel for a while and are bored out of our minds....

Really sad to see my wife and girls leave. I know that they have to get back to their normal routine at home but being without them is always hard for all of us. I've traveled a lot in my career but since we had kids I've purposely tried to be home as much as possible so I can spend...

 

The Fam

Got to hang with my wife and babies for a few days. I wasn't able to leave the hotel but my wife, Maureen made sure our daughters, Solana and Amaia, had a good time. They were so good while on set. Well, for the most part. They were a bit restless but that's to be expected from a 3yr old...

 

The Blind Auditions

That audition was the most difficult, yet most amazing thing I've ever done. The pressure was insane. Knowing that there were millions upon millions of people watching was pretty un-nerving but I'm just glad its over. (Well, at least till the next show)...
