Hi! Nice to meet you via the internet! My name is Charlotte Sometimes. I come from a place called Wall, NJ that's right next to Brick, NJ...yup(who did that?). Just a normal suburban town...I always thought it was like a teen movie town. All my classmates used to tell me I was like Cat from "Ten Things I Hate About You" (thanks?). As soon as I turned 18 I moved to NYC and have lived numerious places in Manhattan and Brooklyn. I'd like to think of my old bedroom in Wall as a super killer closet, but my parents took it over and now keep their pet ferrets there(ferrets>my closet).
Ok, so I presume you want to know a little about my music career...
I've been playing music since I was 14 and now I'm the old age of TWENTY THREE (gross)... I kid I kid. Being 23 is totally cool with me. No more teen angst! Any human being can appreciate that. I've been signed, dropped and been in and out of the music industry since I was in 8th grade and it all brought me here... THE VOICE. Cool stuff.
I can't believe I get to be a part of this show. I am so excited! Excited and NERVOUS! ha! Right before my blind audition,I was so nervous!!! But a few minutes before I went onstage I took a few deep breaths and got into the scene of my song. "Apologize," is a very emotional song, so I reminded myself it wasn't about the judges it was about doing my job as a performer. I had to sing the song from a very sincere place. I hope that you can feel that, so we can share that moment together.
SO...WOW!I couldn't believe all four coaches turned around!! I was not expecting that! What surprised me the most was picking Blake! I had originally thought I would pick CeeLo if I had a choice. But in the moment I went with my gut and picked Blake. I am so excited and happy about my choice. What do you guys think? Who did you want me to choose?
