It's Battle Round time! SO exciting! I got to work with Adam Levine, which was absolutely amazing. He was so nice and of course so incredibly talented. Everything he told me and the advice he gave me was awesome and helped me so much! :D
When Adam first called Tim Mahoney and I up together I thought, "Hmm I wonder what song we're going to sing together!?" Then I thought, this guy has been singing his entire life, how can I Battle him if I've only been singing for four years!I had been talking with Jeff and Angela, and we had all come to the rational thinking that we'd be battling each other because we were country. BUT boy were we wrong! :P
The song Tim and I sang was Leather and Lace. MY NEW FAVORITE SONG! This is a song recorded and performed by Stevie Nicks and Don Henley. So that'd be the biggest shoes to fill, ever. Yet, I didn't mind because I adore and look up to Stevie Nicks! I was inspired singing a song by her because I got to let my voice have it's own unique sound.
When Adam first told us what song we were singing, my first thought was "Oh my goodness! I haven't heard that song." Of course, Tim has known that song and loved it! So I thought, bummer, that's quite a disadvantage in this Battle Round. Then when I heard the song I was crazy about it! It's now my FAVORITE SONG EVER and I loved loved loved singing it! Ahhhhhmazing! (: It was nice learning the song from scratch, that way I could take it from the very beginning and make it my own.
