John Lithgow is an Oscar-nominated and Emmy and Tony Award-winning star of screen and stage. He was awarded four Emmys for his performances on NBC's 3rd Rock from the Sun and Showtime's Dexter. On the big screen, Lithgow made his mark with 1983's The World According to Garp and 1984's Terms of Endearment, both of which earned him Best Supporting Actor Oscar nods. His other notable films include Footloose, Cliffhanger, Dreamgirls, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the Shrek franchise, in which he voices Lord Farquaad. Lithgow is also the winner of two Tony Awards for his work in The Changing Room and Sweet Smell of Success. In 2016, Lithgow began starring on Netflix's The Crown and won a SAG Award for best dramatic actor. He can next be seen on NBC's Trial & Error.
