British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran had a successful career in the U.K. before an appearance on Taylor Swift's Red album launched him Stateside. He released several independent albums before being signed to a record label in 2011, when he released his debut studio album, +, featuring the Grammy-nominated hit single "The A Team." In 2014, his collaboration with Swift on "Everything Has Changed" helped him score two more Grammy nominations, including one for Best New Artist. Sheeran's second album, x, was released in 2014 and hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. x also earned Sheeran three more Grammy nods.
