Claire Danes is an Emmy Award-winning actress. She got her big break at age 15 on the short-lived ABC series My So-Called Life in 1994, for which she earned a Golden Globe for Best Actress. That same year, Danes appeared on the big screen in Little Women. She continued scoring plum parts in films, including 1996's Romeo + Juliet, 1997's The Rainmaker, 2002's The Hours and 2005's Shopgirl, before returning to TV for the HBO movie Temple Grandin in 2010. Her portrayal of the autistic animal science expert earned Danes her first Emmy Award. She won two more in 2012 and 2013 for her starring role on the Showtime series Homeland, in which she plays CIA agent Carrie Mathison. Danes currently stars in the Off-Broadway play Dry Powder.
